Please note that the names listed here for areas is what you see when you're in the area/room and type <rating>, though most of this counts as [Mud].

Introduction, The art of Alchemy:
The making of magical potions deals with the processing of agents through an experimental apparatus. Type 'view' to see the set-up. The apparatus consists of 3 parts: the hoppers, the evaporator and the burner. The hoppers process the agents in one of 4 ways: grinding, chopping, liquifying and straight through. One run of the apparatus consists of setting the evaporator and burner to desired settings and processing an agent in one of the 4 ways. A complete potion consists of 3 complete runs.

Reagents:
Reagents are what you use to mix your potions.
Each reagent acts as a different affector for the potion.
Rosemary - a sprig found in forests
Ivory - a chip of bone
Lava - igneous rock, found often in caves
Shimmerweed - found in fields and forests
Bark - found in woods and forests
Bloodmoss - found anywhere plants are found
Mistletoe, Thyme, Marjoram - unknown

Processes:
The hoppers of the apparatus may be loaded one at a time with one reagent. The choice of which is completely up to you. The different processes: grind, chop, liquify and straight each affect the final product in different ways. Any combination may be used for the three runs, but the chosen combination and order WILL affect the final potion that remains after the third and final run.
To load a hopper type '<process> <reagent>' where <process> is one of the processes (grind, chop, etc.) and <reagent> is one of the reagents (ivory, lava, etc.).

The Evaporator and the Burner:
The effectiveness of the processing depends on the settings of the evaporator and burner. Each has a setting of 0-3 and can be set by the following two commands: 'evaporator <#>' and 'burner <#>' where <#> is the setting you desire.
After you choose a new setting for either the evaporator or the burner, you can see the new set-up by typing 'view'
The settings for each run WILL affect the final product and must be carefully adjusted each time.

Potions and Brews:
The final product results after 3 runs. Each run is performed by loading a hopper, setting the evaporator and burner for that run, and typing 'process'. After 3 runs, the final potion results. What potion results is completely dependent upon the runs through the apparatus.
Side-effects of the potions are:
Stability - the safeness of the potion to drink
Strength - the effectiveness of the potion
Life - some potions may expire in time
All side-effects result from the processes and the settings of the evaporator and the burner in each run.

Miscellaneous:
The potions you produce through the apparatus are your own. What that means is that your research is your own. If you figure out a stable recipe for a potion, it is your own recipe. If you do decide to give a recipe to a fellow player, you may very well be giving them the recipe for a deadly poison. Play it safe, trust your own research and instincts when using the potions. The potions you create will work only for you.
Also, once you discover a recipe, that recipe will always work for you. New potions that you brew will definitely be identifiable from old ones.
To clean up the machine if you made a mistake, simply type 'scrub' to give it a good scrub-down.

Warning:
Do not take this apparatus lightly, dangerous results can occur in the form of deadly, poisonous potions. Use your instincts when testing the brews and you will be fine. If you take or give recipes you run the risk of hurting yourself or other members.
Remember this above all else:
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE APPARATUS
What that means is that if you use it, you accept the risks that come with it. You are by no means required to use the apparatus to be part of the mud, it is only a facet of the mud. But, with risk comes reward so decide for yourself before using it.

This basement appears to have been recently constructed. The

indicate that the work was done quickly and not terribly well.

Area Details:
Freshly waxed hardwood floors shine dully in the light provided by
floating globes that slowly make their way around the room. There's
not a stick of furniture to be seen in this place, just walls and a
ceiling painted a soothing shade of blue. The focal point of the room
is a large bulletin board that practically demands your attention.

1) Introduction
The game of ARENATAG!
ARENATAG! is a game in which a group of people
register themselves as players. The action
then consists of them going after one another
in a virtual reality arena until only one player
remains or time runs out.
This is not the old game of tag you remember
from childhood, this is ARENATAG! It's every man
for himself. To learn more about the game of
ARENATAG!, 'read 2' and 'read 3' in this book.

2) Start-Up
To start the game of ARENATAG! type enter. All
players then have 60 seconds to enter the game once
the first player has entered. Once the minute has
expired, no further entries will be allowed and a
countdown begins. Once the countdown finishes, the
game is afoot and everybody is open for a tag!
Once you enter the game, you can look at your
available commands by typing TAG. Furthermore, you may view the arena map by typing map. Typing tag will tell you the positions of all the players in the current game. If a player is in a bunker, you will not be able to tell which one unless you
physically walk into the bunker to check.
3) Game Play
Once the game is started, you kick people out of the
game by running up to them and tagging them.
If one person survives, that person gets the
full pot (along with some experience). If time
runs out and there is more than one player, the
pot is divvied accordingly (with some experience).

Area Details:
This tent was obviously once brightly striped in red and white, although
the canvas is now stained and very faded. Crudely stitched patches cover
a multitude of tears and burns in the tent fabric. A collection of
rickety tables stand around the sides of the tent, surrounding a circle
of bare earth. The benches are cluttered with all manner of strange
ephemera. Amongst the junk you spot a moth eaten stuffed crocodile
hanging from the roof, a heavy obsidian ring in a coffin shaped box and
a glass sphere filled with lightning.
In the centre of the tent a thick black iron chain is hanging down from
the tent poles above, suspending a battered copper bucket over the angry
red coals of a dying fire.
Beside the entrance to the tent a large slate blackboard displays a list
of the marvels on offer.

This is the room where many decisions are made concerning Three Kingdom's future. Here, players can read and write on the various boards, giving their opinions about upcoming changes and new ideas. Nearly all of Three Kingdoms most prestigious citizens can be seen here at one time or another. If you're lucky, you might even get to see one of the high wizards aimlessly roaming the halls (probably looking for the bathroom). Also, this is where you learn about the different guilds available to the players here at 3 Kingdoms. A large glass case in the center of the room contains each of the prospective guild objects. There is a large sign here with arrows pointing in various directions.

vows of mud-matrimony are exchanged. Row upon row of pews flank
the altar from all four sides, in the shape of an 'X'. Stained

The Three-Kingdoms Crafting System allows players to collect raw materials
and turn them into powerful weapons, armour, or weapon or armour enhancing
buffs, or self enhancing buffs. The raw materials can be stored over
and across reboots in order to allow players to gather and plan their
crafting strategies. Completed items can only be used within a given
reboot.
Crafting is divided into gathering and production tradeskills. The
gathering tradeskills include: chaos wrangler, farmer, and miner. The
production tradeskills include: blacksmith, chef, and enchanter. These
tradeskills are broken down as follows:
Chaos wrangler: Gathers energy from monsters across the mud and then
infuses this energy into gems that are prepared by enchanters. The gems
can then be used to enhance armour or weaponry, or given to a blacksmith
to be included in the crafting of a weapon or armour. Players who have a
good knowledge of monsters across the mud make for excellent chaos
wranglers.
Farmer: Grows plants with the use of the many tools. Farmers must gauge
the conditions of the farm and add the appropriate resources to the farm
in order to create optimal growing conditions for the plant. Players
who enjoy solving puzzles and have a lot of patience make excellent farmers.
Miner: Descends into the depths of the chaos mines to fight off wandering
monsters in order to mine ores and obtain random drops such as dusts,
jewels and shards. Players who like grinding will enjoy mining.
Blacksmith: The blacksmith assembles ores, dusts and shards from miners and charged gems from wranglers into powerful weaponry and armour. Players
who are dependent on equipment and enjoy helping friends would make for
excellent blacksmiths.
Chef: The chef takes plants from the farmer and places them into a cooker
in various combinations in order to create food that can be eaten for
powerful self-enhancing properties, such as a bonus to one or more stats.
The trick is in knowing the right combination of foods in order to optimize
the benefit! Players who like puzzles will enjoy being a chef.
Enchanter: The enchanter takes jewels and other random drops from the miner
and combines these with fragments, essence and hearts that drop from
monsters all over the mud to combine them together into powerful gems that
can be charged by chaos wranglers. These charged gems can then be used
to enhance existing weaponry or armour, or can be given to blacksmiths who
will then use them to create weaponry or armour. Players who are very
social and are able to coordinate many other players make for excellent
enchanters.

This is 3-Kingdom's cryogenics control center. This is where people
come to have their bodies frozen until a specific date, when they will
be revived. The place is filled with huge refrigeration units and
tanks of liquid nitrogen. Along one wall is a huge computer console
that controls the whole operation. Set in to the other wall is a
large chamber, with transparent housing, that is used to store the
bodies. The entire freezing and revival process is totally automated
and somewhat safe. There is a SIGN on the wall. READ THE SIGN before
you attempt anything.

You stand in the midst of an enormous, cavernous, room. Tables and chairs
abound, filled with all nature of hirelings and henchmen. The floor is
covered with a million shells from various nuts and other edibles. The
layer of shells is drab black, soaked in oil, beer, and other various
refuse spilled from the tables or tracked in from the outside. What little
you can see of the floor puts your mind at ease that it at least exists.
Heavy cast iron chandeliers hang low from the ceiling, filled with dozens
of candles in an attempt at lighting the room. Every drip of wax that
falls on the floor causes your heart to skip a beat in hopes that the room
won't explode in a fiery blaze. People duck and dodge these obstacles so
as to avoid extreme injury to the skull. Periodically a drunken idiot will
stand up too quickly only to knock himself completely unconscious. A fire
burns brightly in a fireplace on the far side of the room. There is very
little refuse around the fireplace, either because it has all been burned
away or because there is at least someone making an attempt at keeping the
place from becoming ashes. The actual 'bar' stretches along the entire
length of the wall on the far side. Dozens of barstools line the edge of
it, all filled with large men drinking far more than could possibly be
safe. Occasionally one falls to the floor, incoherent and barely alive and
is quickly dragged aside as another patron takes his place.es you can purchase here, and their cost.

What you first thought was a tiny shed turns out to be a solid
granite building. The walls, floor and ceiling of the house of
lockers are made of solid granite. The house is very sparsely
furnished with only a wooden desk in the east end of the room
and a row of lockers along the north and south sides of the room.
To the west a huge granite door allows passage to the street.
There's a sign on the wall behind the desk.

These lockers are designed to hold stuff for one person at a time. If you are quitting for a short time and want to leave stuff while you are gone and get it back when you log back on use this. It will store items only while the game is up. It WILL NOT save stuff THROUGH A

The Vigilant: HQ
You've stepped through a dimensional rift of some kind. What looked
to be nondescript from the outside is actually a giant spaceship of
some kind. Purple lighting reflects off shiny chrome surfaces,
causing glare everywhere you look. Women and men in long flowing
purple robes rush hither and yon, occasionally disappearing through
what seemed to be a solid wall. A small force bubble keeps you
relatively confined within this space and the hallway to the east.

A Magical Repository
The room is lined with marble block, seeming as if it was magically
cut out of a single chunk of stone with one precise action. Around the
edge of the room are a plethora of shelves and bookcases filled with
an odd assortment of items. A small wooden counter sits in the middle
of the room with a large machine resembling something akin to what a
mage might perceive a cash register to look like if he had never seen
one before. A small sign sits next to it. On the rear wall is a
section which appears to be similar to a scoreboard made of colored
glyphs. A grizzled wizard stands behind the machine perusing a ledger.
Ogotaz, The Powerful Wizard
Dressed in a fine robe with cold magical flames flickering at the
base, a sharp pointed hat with nary a speck of dust upon it, and fine
magesilk clothing, Ogotaz is a example of magical excess. His grizzled
eyes lack pupils and are solid grey from iris to center, his nose
resembles that of a hawk now in human form, and his long bent fingers
barely extend beyond the long sleeves of his robe. Power eminates from
him just by look alone, yet as he sees you he smiles every so wryly.
He is in perfect health.
He has no spells.
His melee attacks do mostly slashing damage.

The delicious smells of Italian cooking hang heavy in the air. The
floor is covered with faded red brick, as are the walls. Each table is
identical in appearance, bearing a red and white checkered tablecloth,
a white candle stuck in an empty bottle of wine, and a small white
flower in a glass vase. Towards the back of the restaurant, is the
kitchen. Two large brick ovens can be seen as well as the large
stainless steel stove. Beautiful music is playing from the speakers,
which are strategically placed behind gorgeous hanging plants.

You've entered a small, utilitarian room with plain walls. In the far
wall, a sizable window looks into a second room, filled with shelves
of files. At the bottom of the window is a counter on which a small
man leans, watching you and waiting to see why you've come. On the
walls to your left and right are small sets of hanging shelves, and a
framed poster hangs by the entrance. The wooden floor is devoid of
decoration other than a couple of simple chairs next to a small round
table in one corner, and two potted plants. Two torchieres provide
ample lighting for the space, and a plaque above the counter reads
'MEDALS ARCHIVE'.

The sounds of clattering feet and murmuring voices completely fills
this dark and rough hewen stone building. While the interior of the
structure is more visually appealing than the exterior, with its soft
iridescent glow, its 20 foot vaulted ceiling, and its dark oak
counters, there is still the hint of a much rougher underbelly, as
evidenced by the dusty and half-worked stones underneath it all.
People mill around the area, not pausing at all for pleasantries but
rather working as efficiently and quickly as possible, then exiting
once their transactions are complete. One wouldn't expect more from
the Office of Professional Registration, an organization whose sole
purpose is to keep track of the various professions and the people who
practice it.

Lucky, the mascot of Lucky Charms cereal, is a small, cartoon
leprechaun with distinct features that make him easily recognizable.
He stands at about 3 feet tall and has a plump, round belly. His skin
is light green, and he has large, pointed ears that stick out from
under his bright red hat. His hat is decorated with a yellow buckle
and a four-leaf clover, which is also a symbol that is often
associated with Irish culture. Lucky's eyes are bright blue and are
surrounded by a ring of white, giving him a mischievous and playful
appearance. He has a small, triangular nose and a wide, friendly smile
that shows off his straight, white teeth. His arms and legs are short
but stout, and he wears green pants and shoes with gold buckles. Lucky
is often depicted holding a magic wand that sparkles and emits a

Scavenger Hunt Room [Damo]

The Village Smithy is technically not its own area, though it's helpful to know what it has to offer.
A blast of hot air hits your face as you enter the village Smithy.
A large anvil stands directly before you in the center of the room.
In the southwest corner of the room, a large rock chimney draws the
the smoke from the coal forge, and releases it through a hole in the
tile roof. Hanging beside the forge, is a large wooden bellows and
a set of iron tongs. On either side of the room, running the length
of the wall, sits a large bin which has been fastened securely to the
clay floor. The once brightly painted walls, now show signs of age
and a sooty residue. Your eyes begin to burn slightly as you peer
through the smoky haze to a sign upon the wall.
Type:
list to see a list of all items for sale. ('list w': weapons, 'list a': armours.)
fix <item/all> to have items repaired.
check <item/all> to check the cost of repairs.
getitem to collect a repaired item from the Smithy.
cancel <item> to discontinue reparation of an item (no refunds)
Once you're at the entrance of the simulator with a friend, <wager 200>. This is the minimum wager allowed (you can wager more, if desired, and only 1 player is required to wager).

Instructions for the Starship Battle Simulator:
You may get more information on any of the
following topics by typing 'read <#>' where
<#> is the number preceeding your reading choice.
The Starship Battle Simulator is divided into three
phases: pregame, battle, and endgame.
pregame) The game is wagered upon, the competitors
enter their respective holodecks and when
ready, one of them types 'start'
battle) The phase in which the competitors attack
one another until either a player's ship is
destroyed or a player surrenders
endgame) Once a winner has been declared, the purse
is awarded to that player and the holodecks
are reconfigured for the next simulation
PREGAME:
Pregame is done in this room and consists of wagering
amounts of gold coins on the outcome of a battle simulation.
To wager an amount on the game, type 'wager <amount>'
where <amount> is the number of coins you wish to wager.
Once the minimum wager has been reached, the game begins
with each player entering the holodecks. Once in command,
either captain may start the game by typing 'start'.
The game then moves into battle mode. Once the game
is over and a winner has been declared, the player so
declared will get the full amount of the wagered purse
and the holodecks are readied for another simulation.
BATTLE:
Battle is considered the time from the moment a captain
types 'start' to the time either a ship is destroyed or
one of the competetitors has surrendered. The bulk of the
game is in this phase. To learn all the different aspects
of this phase, read 4,5,6 & 7 in this book and also read
'attitude.chart' 'shields.chart' and 'phasers.chart' to
get the feel of your position in the battle simulation.
ATTITUDE: command → 'attitude <#>'
Attitude refers to the position of your ship relative to the
enemy. To see the possible attitude positions your ship can
accomodate, typing 'read attitude.chart' will give you the numbers.
Basically, there are 11 positions. 0,1,2,3,4,5 & 6 are rotational
positions which mean about the center of mass of the starship.
positions 612,23,543, & 65 are planar attitudes which mean the ship
moves in that direction with no rotation. Think of it like this:
With an attitude of 2, your ship is pointing to the upper right
(when looking from behind your ship), this position is upper-starboard.
In this position, the upper-starboard section (2) of your ship is
in good defensive position from an enemy phaser lock. Section 3
is a little more protected than 4, whereas 5 is wide open for attack.
Moving your ship into this attitude provides a cleaner lock onto enemy
position 2 though, so it's a trade-off throughout the battle. You
want to match your lock as close as you can to your attitude while
at the same time keeping track of enemy locks onto your exposed areas.
SHIELDS: command → 'shields <x>'
Shields are the main deterrent in receiving damage from enemy fire.
Typing 'read shields.chart' will show you the possible values for
<x>. <x> can also be 'up' or 'down' which will raise/lower your
shields. The different configurations of your shields determine
which areas of your ship will be the most protected. For example,
if you configured your shields to the 's' (starboard) position,
the right side of your ship will be well protected, but the center
and left sides will be left protected, but to a weaker degree.
You basically want your shields to match the enemy lock upon you.
Remember also, that enemy photon damage is concentrated on position
'0' so if you see the enemy charging photons, switch to a shield
configuration that'll protect your bow (0), unless you want to
take heavy damage. Also, for obvious reasons, remember to raise
your shields before you enter battle.
PHASERS: commands → 'lock <#>' and 'fire'
Phasers are your main offensive weapons. There are only a
few things to remember when using them:
1) before they can be fired (by typing 'fire') they must be
locked onto an enemy position 'type read phasers.chart'
2) once locked, the phasers are armed and ready
3) phaser damage is reduced by three things: your attitude,
the enemy's attitude, and the enemy's shields.
If your attitude is far from the lock on your enemy, damage
will be reduced. Likewise, if the enemy's attitude matches
your lock, damage will also be reduced. Enemy shields will
reduce damage according to your lock and which shield
configuration the enemy currently has established
PHOTONS: command → 'photon'
Your arsenal of weapons also includes photon torpedos.
Their use is simple. Type 'photon' to begin the firing
sequence. This only takes a few seconds. Once fully
charged, the torpedo is fired toward enemy position '0'
with appropriate damage reduced according to your attitude,
the enemy's attitude, and the enemy's shield configuration.
ENDGAME:
The game is over when one player is either destroyed or
has surrendered. When either has happened, the purse goes
to the remaining player. The game is then over and a new
purse must be wagered if another game is desired.
MISC:
Just a few hints on the game:
1) First thing once the game has started,
raise your shields.
2) Keep your attitude changing to maximize your
damage and minimize enemy damage.
3) Keep your shield configuration changing to minimize
enemy damage.
4) Adjust your phaser lock according to enemy attitude
and shield configuration to maximize damage.
5) Keep all things moving. Stand still and you will
most likely be destroyed.
6) Once you enter the holodeck, look at the panel next to
the captain's chair to see the available commands.
7) Above all, have a good time.

The Turkey Farm is available for a limited amount of time, roughly through the month of November. Once you locate Harold Turk, the U-Pick Turkey Farmer, you can <nod> to him, whereupon you'll be whisked away to the entrance of the farm. By killing the turkeys, you earn reputation with the Turkey Farm to exchange for various types of boons (stat boon, damage reduction boon, and/or a 10% XP bonus for 3 hours).
This area is NOT a dungeon, but the class sizes of the turkeys can be extremely high based on who is tanking. This area is best suited for parties with 2 good tanks (one for the front and one for the back). The primary tank will attack the turkeys and once they die, the 'baby' turkeys will attack the last player that entered the room.
Research by Xiu has indicated that you can <waddle [target]> to provide extra damage while you're in combat with an enemy. Keep in mind, the waddles are extremely heavy, and once you use it, it will disappear.
