Pinnacle Morgue

The Pinnacle Morgue is the place to go in town for all things corpse related. It is here that you can acquire a coffin, donate corpses, sell corpses, purchase corpses and view the current top lists of donators and purchasers. The available stock is based on donations from all players within the current boot. Depending on your guild and play style, the morgue can be an essential location for your growth and success.

Coffins and Corpses

Training a coffin and understanding how they work can be very valuable to most players on 3K. To understand why, let us first go over the value of corpses.

Corpses:

When you kill nearly anything on 3K (with some exceptions) they will leave behind a corpse. Many guilds on 3K have a power to absorb / bury / explode or otherwise interact with the corpse in some way that provides some amount of healing to their guild powers as well as HP and SP. What the corpse gives back varies considerably from one guild to the next. Some guilds can utilize a corpse for healing without destroying the corpse, allowing another player to also benefit from the same corpse; while other guilds get zero value from a corpse. In addition to this, some guilds have energies that can only be healed by corpses and nothing else.

While the value of a corpse can obviously be vastly different from one player to the next, the bottom line is that they are incredibly useful. One major downside to them is that once an enemy is slain, and their corpse falls to the ground, it immediately begins to deteriorate. It will cycle through a set of descriptions (fresh, slightly moldy, etc.) before finally vanishing.

Beyond all this, the healing that a corpse provides is generally based on the strength of the creature it came from (example: A Smurf with a class of 1,000,000 will benefit the player much greater than a Smurf with a class of 1,000). They can also have other uses, as some items in the game can absorb them for increases in power, and dog companions can use them for food.

The morgue is a great resource for getting corpses when you need them urgently or otherwise. They can be purchased for coins, and there are a number of options in regard to the strength of the corpse you can buy. The number of purchasable corpses is directly related to how many have been donated by other players during the same reboot. So why would someone donate a corpse to the morgue in the first place if they are so useful? Now in comes the mighty coffin.

Coffins:

You can acquire one of these using the <acquire> command at the Pinnacle Morgue. With a coffin in your inventory you now have the option to <wrap> a corpse, and store it. Within the coffin it will be weightless, and it will maintain its current freshness indefinitely. Once a corpse is unwrapped though, it will resume its deterioration where it left off, so be aware. The coffin gives players the ability to store corpses for much greater flexibility and accessibility for when they are needed. It can also make a huge difference when you are in a tough spot and can use many corpses at once to heal yourself or offer them to a friend.

When first receiving your coffin it will be able to store 5 corpses, maximum. You can increase the capacity of the coffin in several ways:

1) donating corpses to the morgue
2) increasing the survival mskill (+1 coffin capacity per skill point, this skill will also cause a corpse to deteriorate much more slowly)
3) reaching highest donation status for your guild on the current boot (other guild members can contribute to this)
4) reaching highest donation status as a player on the current boot

Donating corpses to the morgue can influence coffin growth in different ways. This can be done by entering <donate coffin> at the morgue. One of the benefits is by granting temporary (rest of reboot) capacity increases, and the other is by gaining permanent increases to coffin capacity. The more you donate, the higher these numbers get. They can be tracked by using the command <cofscore> which can look something to this:

Example of a Newbie's coffin -

Your Coffin Capacity Breakdown:
Base Capacity: 5
Boot Donation Bonus: 0
Lifetime Donation Bonus: 0
Survival Skill Bonus: 0
Top Guild Donator Bonus: 0
Top Player Donator Bonus: 0
Total Capacity: 5
Capped To The Lower Of Total Capacity Or:
Ultimate Maximum: 10

Example of experienced player's coffin -

Your Coffin Capacity Breakdown:
Base Capacity: 5
Boot Donation Bonus: 0
Lifetime Donation Bonus: 23
Survival Skill Bonus: 7
Top Guild Donator Bonus: 0
Top Player Donator Bonus: 0
Total Capacity: 35
Capped To The Lower Of Total Capacity Or:
Ultimate Maximum: 55

Permanent increases via donations are tracked using the "lifetime donation bonus" category. Survival skill increases are also permanent (unless you reset the skill and distribute those points elsewhere). The rest are relevant only to the current boot.

A few other mentions here are that these status gains are per character, so any alternate character you create will need to build up their own coffin. In addition to this, not every corpse is suitable for donation. Corpses that have been duplicated for example (using the Mask of Gemino Mortis) will be rejected by the morgue.
