Note titled 'Witch's Hat (Canislupus, Fri Jun 24 19:49:29 2022):
The realm of Chaos was saturated with multiple flashes of blinding light and loud rumblings were heard across the realm. The massive lightning storm lasted only moments. Some denizens closest to the incident report having seen the ancient witch Waerlys, long ago banished from Fantasy for her unorthodox experiments. After the incident, nothing remained of her except for her dark velvet hat, which was quickly brisked away on a chaotic breeze.

Given Waerlys's history, it is recommended only adventurers over the level of 100 seek out the hat and attempt to uncover the secrets it may hold.

This areas is literally, a witch's hat. The goal is to obtain a canister from the metal device and fill it with the lint you get from killing 'A [small/large] ball of fuzz'.
A small ball of lint
A small, lifeless ball of lint. There still appears to be a small amount of static electric charge sparking within its fibers.
It looks very light.

  1. Objective: To obtain a capacitor, charge it to 100% by killing fuzz and inserting the dropped lint into the capacitor. Do it all again with a second capacitor, Once inside the area, travel <enter tear, 2s, 36w, 2n> to 'A large metal device'
The device is made of metal and is clamped onto the edge of the velvet fabric. It stands about four feet tall and is rectangular in shape. You notice a lever on the right side and a semi-cylindrical shaped alcove in the center. On top there is a green button labeled 'Charge', a red button labeled 'Activate', and a digital display.
  2. <pull lever, get capacitor>
    A capacitor
The capacitor is a cylinder about one foot long and six inches in diameter. The top appears to be closed. There is a small readout on the side.
    It looks heavy.
  3. <look at readout>
    A capacitor
    The readout displays: 0%
  4. Now, travel around the area and <kill fuzz>
    1M : A small ball of fuzz
    1.1M : A large ball of fuzz
  5. When you kill each fuzz, <get lint> (you'll need approximately 12 pieces of lint)
Note: Each lint will charge the capacitor by 9%.
    A small ball of lint
A small, lifeless ball of lint. There still appears to be a small amount of static electric charge sparking within its fibers.
    It looks very light.
  6. Once you have lint, <open capacitor, insert lint, close capacitor>
Alternatively, if you already collected a lot of lint, you can insert them all into the capacitor while it's open,
     Example for Tintin users: <open capacitor;#12 insert lint;close capacitor>
  7. <look at readout>
    A capacitor
    The readout displays: 100%
Note: If you fill it only to 99% you will only get a 49% "charge" on the next step, meaning you will have to repeat the above steps three times instead of two times.
  8. Optional step: At this point, you can leave the area and return when more fuzz have spawned. As it stands, the area only contains 16 fuzz enemies to kill and you need 24 to complete the task.
  9. Return to the metal device and <load capacitor, pull lever, push green button, read display> - a 100% capacitor will raise it to 50%.
  10. <pull lever> again to obtain another empty capacitor.
  11. Repeat steps 4 - 7. The readout on this new capacitor should read 100%.
  12. Again, return to the metal device and <load capacitor, pull lever, push green button, read display> - the machine should give you a readout of 100% now. If it's not 100%, repeat the above steps to fill another capacitor.
  13. <push red button>
  14. Travel to the top of the hat, <2s, 11e, 4ne, 2nw, 2w, 2sw, kill witch>
2M : Waerlys the Electric Witch
  15. <get hat>
    Waerlys's Velvet Hat
The hat has a wide brim, a long, pointed cone, and is made entirely of a dark, purple velvet fabric. You see small arcs of static electricity sparking amongst the fibers.
This item is legendary and you cannot possess more than one.
The helmet is in perfect condition.
It has a magical glow about it.
This armor has the following resistances:
    5 edged, 5 blunt, 10 fire, 10 ice, 5 acid, -15 electric, 5 poison, 5 radiation
    It looks light.
