Miner: Descends into the depths of the chaos mines to fight off wandering monsters in order to mine ores and obtain random drops such as dusts, jewels and shards. Players who like grinding will enjoy mining.

To Join Mining:

Once inside Crafter's Lane, and provided that you've already joined the Crafter's Guild, travel <nw, 2w, sw, se, say minemenow> to Daniel.

In many ways, mining can be seen as the beating heart of most crafting projects. Both blacksmiths and enchanters rely heavily on miners for the components that they dig up from the chaos mines. These include ores, jewels, dusts and shards.

Mining nodes located in the chaos mines can only be spotted by trained inviduals. Miners must spelunk in each location in order to search for a mining node. Beware! The crafter's guild has lost control of the mines, and now fel beasts lurk throughout, leaping out at whomever may wander through!

To spelunk a room, use:

 spelunk

Only miners are trained to extract the metal from the ores they collect. This is done by smelting the ore in a smelting pot, found within the miner's wing of the Crafting Guild.

Blacksmith: The blacksmith assembles ores, dusts and shards from miners and charged gems from wranglers into powerful weaponry and armour. Players who are dependent on equipment and enjoy helping friends would make for excellent blacksmiths.

To Join Blacksmithing:

Once inside Crafter's Lane, and provided that you've already joined the Crafter's Guild, travel <nw, 2w, sw, nw, say blacksmithmenow> to Yvon.

Blacksmiths take the raw components from mining and join them together, with the help of a moulding, to create powerful armours and weaponry. As blacksmiths increase their skill, they also learn how to integrate enchanting gems into their recipes, which gives the blacksmith the ability to customize the final product. A blacksmith can create a weapon that heals the wielder, that makes the wielder stronger or smarter, or makes the weapon itself far more dangerous - it's up to the blacksmith!

Blacksmiths need to use the forges found in the blacksmith's wing of the Crafting Guild to make all of this possible.

Steps to creating items

1. Obtain the components needed for the item you're attempting to create (refer to the recipes below).

   Fragments, essences, and hearts are dropped randomly once an enemy dies around the realms.
   Bars are created once you smelt the ore that you've mined from the mines.
   Shards, dust, jewels, tears, and other special items are also found during the mining process.
   Gems (minor/major/standard) are created from Chaos Wranglers.

2. Travel to 'The Blacksmith Recipe Shop', from the entrance of the crafting area (Chavee) travel <nw, 2w, sw, nw, e>
3. <list> will display the which moulds you can purchase for the crafting level you've earned thus far.
4. <buy [name of recipe]>
5. Travel <w, forge>
6. At this time, you need to insert each item, including the moulding, into the forge.
   Example steps for creating Bronze Boots:
   <unstash legendary bronze shards, unstash legendary bronze shards, unstash legendary bronze bar, unstash legendary bronze bar, unstash superior cat's eye dust>
<insert shards, insert shards, insert bar, insert bar, insert dust, insert moulding>
7. You can <look at forge> to ensure all proper ingredients are in it.
8. <fire> ... and wait
9. <retrieve [name of item]>

Chef: The chef takes plants from the farmer and places them into a cooker in various combinations in order to create food that can be eaten for powerful self-enhancing properties, such as a bonus to one or more stats. The trick is in knowing the right combination of foods in order to optimize the benefit! Players who like puzzles will enjoy being a chef.

To Join Cooking:

Once inside Crafter's Lane, and provided that you've already joined the Crafter's Guild, travel <nw, n, ne, se, say chefmenow> to Fritz.

Cooking is used to take the foods obtained through farming to turn them into edible dishes that have beneficial effects to the eater. Like farming, cooking was once relatively well- understood, but the chaos explosion in the fields has changed everything. Now, chefs are at a loss to explain the expected flavours in each dish, and how they mix together to make the tastiest and therefore most beneficial dish! Luckily for new chefs, a cooking pot methodology has been adopted that renders the chaos-poisoned food edible again. These pots can be found in the kitchens in the chef's wing of the Crafting Guild.

Enchanter: The enchanter takes jewels and other random drops from the miner and combines these with fragments, essence and hearts that drop from monsters all over the mud to combine them together into powerful gems that can be charged by chaos wranglers. These charged gems can then be used to enhance existing weaponry or armour, or can be given to blacksmiths who will then use them to create weaponry or armour. Players who are very social and are able to coordinate many other players make for excellent enchanters.

Once inside Crafter's Lane, and provided that you've already joined the Crafter's Guild, travel <nw, w, s, say enchantmenow> to Sebastian.

Enchanters study the arcane art of infusing jewels obtained from miners with other crafting components such as dusts or fragments in specially prepared kilns. These gems can then be used in blacksmithing recipes to imbue the armours and weapons with additional abilities, or they can be used directly on items through a process known as gemchanting.

Enchanters rely heavily on miners in order to supply them with high quality jewels and dusts that can be used to practice the art. Enchanters know, however, that miners aren't always the most observant of fellows, as ores often contain goodies hidden within! As a result, all enchanters are learned in the art of prospecting.

To prospect an ore, use:

 prospect <ore>

An enchanter must be either good at chaos wrangling or know a good wrangler, as these gems are useless until they are filled with chaotic energies! The relationship of the enchanter and the chaos wrangler is the opposite of the other gathering : production relationships, in that the raw material (chaotic energies) are collected *after* the item has been created.

A good enchanter studies the effects that each gem has when used, as not all gems are compatible with all items!

To gemchant a weapon or armour, use:

 gemchant <gem> into <object>

Alchemy predates all of the crafting tradeskills and is an entirely separate system, old and strange. So while it is not listed in any crafting help files, it is a precursor tradeskill, therefore has been added to WMT's crafting pages.

Welcome to the Three Kingdom's Crafting system! You can use this help system to learn about the different concepts involved in crafting as well as specifics about the different crafting tradeskills available. You can also learn about stashing crafting components, the many commands used for crafting, and if you're really interested, a list of alltopics.

The help system will also let you learn about all the commands at your disposal.

You'll notice the following ansi to bring things in the files to your attention.

Green denotes the name of a file you can read.
Yellow marks important information/headings.
Red marks crucial information.

<crafthelp advancement>

Crafting skills are advanced simply through their use. The more often you use a particular ability, the more you will advance the relevant skill. For example, you can advance your cooking skill by cooking foods. See the help files about each tradeskill to learn how to advance that particular skill.

Each item involved in advancement has a minimum skill level and a trivial skill level. You cannot use the item until you have the minium skill, and you cannot advance your level once you have passed the trivial skill level. These skill levels are listed on each item.

Any individual player can master all tradeskills, advancing through apprentice, journeyman, expert along the way. Apprentices can advance their skill to 32, journeyman to 65, experts to 89 and masters to 100.

<crafthelp components>

Components are items that are used by blacksmiths and enchanters as ingredients in recipes that are used to create powerful and wonderful items. Components are typically collected by miners or farmers but can also be assembled by the blacksmiths and enchanters as intermediary steps between the raw gathered materials and the final end product. Components can also be found anywhere you look, as fragments, essences or hearts.

Crafting components can be stashed in a crafter's satchel, but finished products cannot. See stashing.

The crafting or tradeskill system follows several basic concepts. Tradeskills are divided into two categories: gathering and production. Gathering tradeskills such as chaos wrangling, farming and mining allow the user to collect raw materials to be used by the production tradeskills, which consist of blacksmithing, cooking and enchanting.

Materials used by the production tradeskills are known as components. Components can be obtained by the gathering tradeskills, by production tradeskills that assemble intermediary parts, or whomever may stumble across some of the components scattered across the realms. Some components are very rare!

It is strongly recommended that you coordinate with other players in order to achieve your common goals.

Recipes are the key to the success of any blacksmith or enchanter. You must use a recipe or moulding to not only find out which components must be used to craft a particular item, but also to use as the template for the item you are making. Recipes are placed in forges or kilns along with the components necessary to construct the desired item.

Cooking does not use set recipes and is more free-form.

Your crafter's satchel was issued to you by the Crafter's Union. Not only is it representative of your membership in the guild, it can also be used for stashing crafting components. Finally, if you examine your satchel, it will give you a brief explanation of the commands you can use as a crafter.

Stashing is the mechanism that allows you to store your crafting components in your crafter's satchel such that they do not clutter your inventory and so that they last between logins.

To stash an item in your satchel, use:

 stash <item>

To get an item out of your satchel, use:

 unstash <quality> <item>

where <quality> can also be any or all.

And to see what you have in your satchel, use:

 stashlist <optional string>

<crafthelp tradeskills>

Tradeskills come in two categories: Gathering and Production. Gathering tradeskills allow you to harvest components from raw materials. The three gathering tradeskills are chaos wrangling, farming and mining. Production tradeskills allow you to assemble these components into powerful items using known recipes that must be purchased. The three trade tradeskills are: blacksmithing, cooking and enchanting.
